Shabree Rawls, LPC
Shabree Rawls is a Licensed professional counselor and art therapist. She earned a B.A. in Psychology from Baldwin Wallace University. She continued her graduate studies at Ursuline College earning her M.A. in Counseling and Art Therapy in 2019.
Shabree is enthusiastic and passionate about helping others find unique and creative solutions to problems, and has a special interest in utilizing art therapy as a way of both coping with and processing challenges and traumas. She strives to help each client understand themselves in a comforting, safe, and non-judgmental environment. Shabree’s main treatment objective is to create a casual therapeutic safe-space designed for clients to immerse themselves within the healing process. Helping clients gain a better understanding of themselves and how to navigate an ever changing and challenging world is most important in her practice.
Shabree utilizes an eclectic approach tailored to the specific needs best suited for each client. These styles may include art therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, holistic , multicultural/generational trauma, all from a trauma-informed and person-centered lens. As a Black clinician, she has a strong emphasis on providing multiculturally competent treatment to marginalized communities who have long been underrepresented and underserved. She has also created an online community for over 400K humans supporting on another through her mental health content.
In her free time, Shabree enjoys meditating and taking road trips. She is a jack of all trades in the art world but has a special love for mixed-media and metalsmithing. She most enjoys spending time with the people she loves. Shabree loves to catch a vibe creating new and inventive methods of self-care to live the happy fulfilled live we all deserve! Periodt
